Rev. Elaine Briefman
@Fishing 4 Truth
Elaine earned both her BA and MA in psychology from CSUSacramento. Attending Capital Bible College, Sacramento, California, and Nazarene Bible College, Colorado Springs, Colorado, she satisfied the requirements for ordination in The Church of The Nazarene. As a state-licensed marriage and family therapist and ordained minister, she embraces the itinerate life to speak to as many people as possible. She enjoys teaching, preaching, and telling people The Story. Elaine has published a Christian mental health theory, Identity Restructuring, that posits identity abuse/assault /neglect is the primary cause of non-organic mental health dysfunction and mental health is realized by restructuring that identity through the knowledge and acceptance of God's view of mankind. It is her hope to make Identity Abuse a household phrase by the year 2025. Elaine now resides in the Sierra foothills. She enjoys fishing (and catching) and gardening and has a cat named Bacon.
