Lived Holiness: A Conversation About Sanctification in a Love and Honor Framework
Since The Fall of humanity, we have all lived in brokenness. It has dominated our world, our lives, and often our churches. But, equally, God’s love has called us to intimacy with the Trinity throughout human history. Intimacy has always promised hope, healing, and victory over the power of sin. In Wesleyan circles, this is an adequate understanding of sanctification. A love-filled life is committed to knowing wholeness and grace. This conversation will explore love in terms of honor and worth (receiving and giving dignity) as Christlikeness, leading the church into tomorrow.

Rev. Roland Hearn
Field Strategy Coordinator @Asia-Pacific Region
Roland Hearn is the Field Strategy Coordinator for the Australian New Zealand Field. The ANZ field is part of the Asia Pacific Region. He has pastored four churches across thirty-five years, from rural Queensland, Australia, to the metropolis of Dallas, Texas. In two of those churches, he was the planting pastor. Roland was raised in a Nazarene home. He is a 3rd generation Nazarene and great-nephew of the founder of the Church of the Nazarene in Australia. At age 20, he was the driver in a fatal car accident. The accident resulted in the deaths of his girlfriend and her sister. The experience created a crisis of faith and several years of a lifestyle focused on his pain. His return to faith, and ultimately to ministry, was accompanied by a profound desire to understand the healing and transformational nature of grace. This desire led to the academic study of the nature of love and shame within a Wesleyan theological construct.
